As I am writing this post, I am sitting on an airplane cruising at 35,000 ft on route to LA and I just whipped open my container of my new favourite raw balls because my luggage was stuck for 45 minutes during my connection… that meant no time to grab a quick bite to eat before my long flight. I think that just getting to a flight in-time before the check-in closes is something I inevitably encounter every time I travel whether it be my bags, the flight itself delayed, and everything in between that comes with international travel… it’s a crazy stressful experience all around when you’re connecting or travelling just about anywhere in general!
Given that I almost always get on my flight just in-time before the gate closes I always pack snacks, and you could call me the queen of snacks… you bet I’m packing those energy balls, GoMacro bars, porridge pots (literally a lifesaver just ask for some hot water to make your oats), almond butter squeeze packs, seedy crackers, and sometimes I even pack my own lunch- a salad or a raw wrap if a domestic flight; I make sure I’m not getting hungry. Also, given that airlines often don’t have plant-based options I know it’s way better to be safe than sorry. Not to mention who really knows where the food is coming from/quality of the ingredients and travelling alone affects my digestive system so I don’t want to do any more upset to my gut if not necessary. That’s why I created a little TNK snack travel guide and created a raw ball recipe to help make those crazy travel experiences a little healthier, stress-free, and delicious for you! The raw balls are also an awesome option for any of you who don’t want to shell out a lot of money on snack bars because they can get pretty pricey… HOWEVER, you should enter my GoMacro Bar giveaway because you can win some pretty awesome new flavours like dark chocolate almond, blueberry and cashew butter, and mocha chocolate chip which are all amazing and I brought them with me on my vacation. If you’re not familiar with GoMacro bars they are all vegan, packed full of superfoods, refined sugar-free, made sustainably, gluten-free, organic, and the company even gives back to various charities from different bar sales. GoMacro is a company that I support and stand behind because they are doing good for others and the environment which are two of my many core values- helping others make healthier changes in their diet to benefit their mind, body, and the environment.
So if I do a giveaway of any sorts or include a product in any posts I truly use the product in my own life and stand behind the values of the company and the quality of the product… I never want to/would promote a brand that I do not use myself or believe in as that is not what I want The Nakd Kitchen to be built on… honesty, integrity, transparency, and the nakd truth is at the core of everything that I do, and if being on this platform helps one person that is enough for me.
So to go enter my giveaway and win 24 bars of the new flavours all you have to do is follow me on Instagram, follow GoMacro, like this post, and tag three friends, so get to it if you want a chance to enter! Also all entrants must be residing in the USA/Canada and must be 18+.
P.S. I used Big Spoon Roasters Almond Coconut Butter which is incredible and makes the raw balls taste even better!
Good luck and with love,
